JADEY DUFFIELD

HOST

Jadey is an award-winning director, writer, with an expertise in comedy-action. She has a background as a stuntwoman in blockbusters like ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’, ‘Ready Player One’, and various Marvel movies. Specialising in infusing creativity into physical comedy, she brings a working-class, female-centric perspective to her authentic and fresh narratives.

Through DreamMore Films, Jadey directed the award-winning, BAFTA-qualifying '10 Minutes For A Pound', the mischievous 'Sticky Fingers' (starring BAFTA nominee Amit Shah), and her latest film, 'The Last Dumpling', funded by Emmy-nominated Christin Baker. 

​

Currently, Jadey is writing and pitching several comedy TV shows and working on her debut feature, 'Bingo Bastards', with producer Janet Awe (Dreamland Sky/Merman) and Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, Game of Thrones). She shadowed director Tristram Shapeero on the CBS/Big Talk sitcom 'Dinner with the Parents' and is part of the Directors UK Inspire scheme, mentored by Jennifer Sheridan, the director of 'Extraordinary' on Disney Plus.

Jadey has just wrapped up an action-packed quadrilogy of short ads for the BFI's Art of Action season, featuring titles like ‘Gone in 54 Seconds’, ‘Pop Fiction’, ‘Pirates of the Canteen’, and ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’.

​

Jadey's is currently shadowing Christopher McQuarrie on Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

NEIL MARSHALL

HOST

Neil Marshall has been working successfully in the feature film and the television industry since his feature debut 'DOG SOLDIERS' in 2002.  His second feature film as both writer and director, 'THE DESCENT' 2005 was an even bigger critical and commercial hit, winning several awards including the BIFA for Best Director, and the Empire award for Best Horror. He followed this success with the post-apocalyptic action movie 'DOOMSDAY' 2008 and historical adventure 'CENTURION' in 2010.

 

In 2012 Neil made his debut in the world of high-end television with Game of Thrones S2 Ep9 'BLACKWATER', and followed that up with S4 Ep9 'THE WATCHERS ON THE WALL' for which he received an Emmy Nomination for Best Director. 

 

Neil has made a considerable name for himself as a tv director, working in the network, cable and streaming arenas on projects such as the pilot episodes of 'BLACK SAILS' for Stars, as well as 'CONSTANTINE' and 'TIMELESS' for NBC.  Neil also directed notable episodes of 'HANNIBAL' for Showtime and 'WESTWORLD' for HBO. In 2017 Neil developed, produced and directed the Netflix reboot of classic sci-fi series ‘LOST IN SPACE', quickly followed the same year by the feature film reboot of ‘HELLBOY' released in 2018.  

 

In 2020 Neil made his return to independent film and the horror genre with the multi-award winning witch-hunt saga 'THE RECKONING' which was the opening movie at Fantasia festival in Canada that year. 2022 saw the release of 'THE LAIR', an all action-creature-feature set in Afghanistan which was the opening night presentation at Frightfest in London and also played Sitges Festival in Spain.

 

Neil switched genres in the summer of 2022 to film the gangster revenge pic 'DUCHESS' on location in the Canary Islands, And in early 2023 he switched genres yet again for the erotic giallo thriller 'COMPULSION' filmed in Malta and due for release in 2026.

Most recently Neil has produced and edited 4 short action films (each under a minute) commissioned by the BFI and written and directed by JADEY DUFFIELD to promote their ART OF ACTION season this November/December.

Currently, Neil is developing several feature film and television projects.

Hammond started his career as a crisis worker in a metro jail. He then worked in the court systems and as a rehab counselor. Hammond also played harmonica in band, worked as a stage manager and crew in live theater, has written stories and songs. He started Beyond the Playlist in 2013 after having been convinced to be a guest on another podcast. Over the next decade he has produced over 750 episodes of Beyond the Playlist, helped create America’s Next Top Podcaster, produces and co-hosts Soundography, and produced countless other shows. Hammond brings a unique voice to everything he works on and encourages his collaborators to be genuine and authentic. He brings creativity and energy to each project he works on.
